Ambrose dropped his school bag on the bench next to him, leaning back with a heavy sigh. College was hard really, especially with the piling up lessons and projects he had to make. Being a language major didn't make it much easier, as he kept on mixing his French, Japanese and English allover the place, loosing points because of stupid mistakes. He was having enough of the heavy workload along with his part time job. He loved books and reading, but he wanted a break. And feel less in danger - he really liked Asmodeus, he appreciated all she had done for him. But he knew he wasn't in his right place. He didn't like it the way they were going. But he couldn't admit it to his friend and benefactor.
The red head ran a hand through his hair and groaned softly. He wished he could somehow find a fool proof way to get out of this mess. Or do something to make it possible for him to help the others while being still in the demon's camp. He was scared. At least he admitted that. Not only he was scared, but he was also full of envy of other people's easier looking and nicer lives. He had to walk on his toes and keep so many things secret all the time. And even if Seraphine liked him enough, he could never tell her the deepest feelings inside of him.
The half-blood closed his eyes and tilted his head back, feeling the sun shining on his face and smiled softly. At least that wouldn't change for now - the sun. Nor the nature that surrounded him, in Gotham's park. Until his superiors decided they didn't want it anymore.
Ambrose wanted one thing now: meeting someone who would want to talk to him, like a human to another and who wouldn't know anything about him and who maybe later on wouldn't mind knowing about who he really was and maybe, just maybe would remain being his friend. After all, even if he was in a clique of demons, he was still human.
